7 Months Old

Happy New Year!

You are now seven months old. I say this all the time...but it just doesn’t' seem like you could possibly be this old. In my eyes you are still my little infant newborn. I've asked several moms with two if they feel the same way as me. I look back at pics and Jackson's blog when he was seven months old and well he just seems so much older in my mind than when you are at the same age. Hard to explain but it is just flying by and I wish this phase could just slow down. You are trying to crawl on your belly by scooting. You get excited and start kicking your legs and it kind of looks like you are swimming. You also love it when we mimic your little squeals and sounds you make. You think it is so funny and laugh just about every time. You love for Mommy to sing to you. Your favs are "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "The Bailey Grace song"(a mommy original). You are eating solids like a champ. You are now up to three meals a day now and nursing 4 times a day with one bottle before bed time. You are starting to get more interested in what Big Brother is doing while you are eating which makes it very challenging for Mommy. So If he is around I sometimes have to feed you breast milk with a bottle so you can watch everything going on around you. You also can't seem to stop moving those hands and fingers. Even when you eat you have to constantly be playing with my hair or face or your bottle. You also can hold your own bottle now with a little assistance from Mommy. You love to play and are very curious about everything you see. You love for Mommy to vacuum. You watch it like it is the coolest thing you've ever seen. You also are starting to enjoy playing in your bed when you wake up now. You give the best kisses in the world!! You sit up for as long as you like and love to play with your leap frog learning table. I took it off the legs until you can pull up to push all the buttons. We are still working on drinking from a cup. You also love your new baby dolls you got for Christmas. You smile at them every time you see them but then like to bite their little feet. You are now in a big girl car seat. You were just too heavy for the carrier. Mommy put you in the buggy sitting up for the first time this week and you just loved it!! You are a dream to take care of. I love you so much. New Years was so much fun and Mommy is very happy to be home. You did great with Me-Me. She said you knew something was different and you were very ready for Mommy to get home. You slept and ate well for her which made Mommy very happy. Happy New Year! It is very exciting to think of all the many new things you will get to experience this year. I can't wait to hold your hand through every milestone along the way..big or small! Love you. Mommy
