Your Baby Shower
Mommy’s friends Danielle and Neely hosted a wonderful shower for you sweet-heart this past weekend. It was perfect. What a fun way to celebrate Mother's Day. From the adorable little sign out front (which by the way I absolutely love Danielle) to the cake and all of the friends and family that came to welcome you… it was a great shower. We registered at Target and the Toggery for things that either wasn’t out yet when Mommy had your little brother or for all those little pink things that I just couldn’t live with out. Mommy got some many wonderful things for you. From your double stroller, beautiful clothes, bows, décor for your room, bibs, pacifiers, the most beautiful coming home outfit I've ever seen, your bumbo seat, baby Einstein play mat, and so much more. We are very blessed. It is a true blessing to look around and see over 25 people in one room that already loves and cares about you so much. I just can’t wait to put all of those pretty clothes on you!! Thanks to all that came and for helping us prepare for the arrival of our little princess! Danielle and Neely….both of you are amazing friends and I could never say thank you enough for everything!! Bailey will find out very soon just how special the both of you are. Love, Mommy
Wedding Weekend
37 weeks
Mommy is now over 37 weeks as of Saturday. We had a big weekend. I was a bridesmaid in two weddings. The first wedding of the day was for Tabitha, one of my best friends since high school and next was Britt’s wedding, Mommy’s first cousin. It was one of the longest days of my life especially since it was so hot, and one of the weddings was outside at 2pm and pics started at 12:30pm. We made it through the long day and now I can tell you all about the first two weddings you were in. They both turned out great and now Mommy can try to relax!! I was very worried about the dresses fitting since my belly seems to be growing daily with you. We went to the Dr. yesterday and Mommy is already dilated to a one. I guess standing all weekend helped. Your heart rate was great and you would kick the Dr. in the same place she would ck your heart rate. So we will be going to the Doctors Hospital next Wed, May 31st at 6am. She said they would break my water and start potocin when we arrived. When I was induced with your brother I wasn’t dilated at all so she thinks this will be a faster labor. Your Great Aunt Lisa works in labor and delivery at the hospital we will be having you and as already got the best of best set up for you and Mommy. We had long night last night. Mommy had contractions from 4pm to 10pm last night every 5 to 10 minutes and sporadically throughout the night. As of now they have decreased and are not regular. I started packing our bags last night for the big day next week. Can’t wait to meet you next Wed. if not sooner. Here are some pics of our big weekend. Love you!
Let the count down begin
38 weeks and rambling....
So I’m now 38 weeks and 3 days and feeling every second of it. Your brother never felt this heavy and low. The pressure makes it hard to move around like I’m used to and I will be thrilled once Wednesday arrives. Back pain and rib pain are at its worse but I feel relieved seeing the ending sight. Contractions are still often and painful but nothing to rush to the hospital for yet. I’m getting a little anxious, nervous and excited. Just a huge mixture of emotions as the big day is less than 36 hrs. away. I’ve also been nesting over the weekend. What I thought was nesting over the last 2 weeks doesn’t even compare to my behavior over the past 2 days. It’s crazy because my body hurts so bad but yet I have more energy to clean, organize, and do things I’ve never even thought twice about doing and can’t seem to stop. Even though I know rest is very important I can’t fight off the urge to have the washing machine on…it hasn’t stopped since Friday! I don’t want one dirty piece of clothing in the house. I also have dusted everything I think twice…sterilized everything in sight…..organized your closet more than once….and so on. Daddy came in the other day and I was standing on the couch cleaning our large artificial bamboo tree in the living room. He started to laugh at me…which wasn’t wise at the time but now looking back…I’m sure I looked crazy being 9 months pregnant cleaning something that hasn’t seen a cleaning product since we moved in. Daddy has also been busy and nesting in his own way. I made a list of several honey-do’s and I’m proud to say most are complete. I think only a person that has gone through nesting can fully understand and appreciate it. I never experienced it with Jackson. In my opinion its God’s' magical way of letting us get the things done that he knows we won’t have time for once the baby arrives. So… I get to see your sweet little face in just days and have gone over and over in my mind the moment I bring you into this world and get to hold you in my arms. I have day dreamed about you non-stop since I’ve found out about having a girl and catch myself thinking of all of the wonderful moments you will get to experience in your life. A part of me is sad thinking this is probably the safest you will ever be and a little overwhelmed on how to handle two little ones. Well…back to cleaning and organizing. Just know that by the time we leave for the hospital your big Brother will have gotten everything out that I’ve put up, but that’s what makes life so interesting. I will be taking him to Me-Me’s house tomorrow night since we have to be at the hospital at 6am on Wed. So we have lots of packing to do before then. I can’t wait until you get to meet each other. See you soon. Love, Mommy
